ATCC Ordering Requirement Revision

The University has consulted with American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) to revise the ATCC Bio-safety Level (BSL) 2 ordering requirements currently in place.

The requirement to provide a Verification of Compliance with Material Transfer Agreement signed by the Principal Investigator and approved by Pitt’s Department of Environmental Health & Safety is no longer required.  University departments may now place BSL1 and BSL2 orders directly with ATCC using the PantherExpress System.  The Principal Investigator’s contact information must be included on all ATCC orders.
