Forwarding Internal Office of Sponsored Programs Emails to External Individuals/Entities

On occasion, investigators or their staff will forward internal emailed communications from the Office of Sponsored Programs (OR) to external individuals or entities as a way of expediting communication or to avoid having to summarize the salient points that were expressed in the email from OR. However, care should be taken when forwarding these communications outside of Pitt. Internal communications are intended to remain within the University and may contain confidential information which should not be disclosed outside of the University. If you are unsure that a message is safe to forward, please check with the author of the email before forwarding OR emails outside of the University.
