I need to access dbGaP data for my research. How do I request it? (Part 1 of 2)

Principal Investigators wishing to access data from the NCBI database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP) must complete a two-part process for application submission and approval:

  1. Complete a dbGaP Data Access Application through the NCBI dbGaP website at the following link: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/.
  2. Initiate Office of Sponsored Programs review and approval of the application by making a MyRA Data Use Agreement (DUA) submission referencing the dbGaP Data Access Application Number on the “Additional Information” page.

More information regarding NCBI dbGaP projects, along with submission procedures and helpful links, can be found here.
