CAIT (Concierge AI Tool) is a Claude-based chatbot that gives faculty and staff immediate answers to research-related questions. Because CAIT is available 24/7, you can get your questions answered outside of regular business hours.
Use CAIT when you:
- Have a straightforward question and want an answer right away, such as “Where do I go to set up a data use agreement?”
- Want to check a policy or process, such as “What is the deadline for submitting a proposal to the Office of Sponsored Programs?”
- Are trying to figure out where to begin or which resources apply, such as “What resources does Pitt offer to help me find funding for my research?”
