Submitting Proposals through Office of Sponsored Programs

The sponsor is letting me submit my proposal directly.  Does it still need to be reviewed by the Office of Sponsored Programs?

All proposals submitted by University personnel must be reviewed by the Office of Sponsored Programs prior to the submission to the sponsor to ensure adherence to sponsor, governmental, and University requirements.  This includes proposals to sponsors that allow direct submissions from Principal Investigators (PIs). The Associate Vice Provost for Research Operations, Jennifer E. Woodward, PhD, serves as the University’s Authorized Official responsible for endorsing research proposals for submission to a sponsor.
