New Data Management and Share Plan Format
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued a new Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMSP) format. NIH applicants and award recipients are required to use the new DMSP format effective May 25, 2026. Research Security Training Requirement
- Effective May 25, 2026, all project personnel listed as senior/key personnel in NIH applications must complete Research Security Training within 12 months prior to the application submission (NOT-OD-26-017: Research Security Training Requirements for NIH).
- Research Security Training is available through CITI. The Office of Research Protections has created a streamlined Research Security Training Refresher course.

Failure to comply with these new NIH requirements can delay or prevent successful grant application submissions.
