Federal Contract Post-Award Revision Process

For sponsored programs funded by federal contracts and Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), agencies may request revisions or additional information over the course of a project’s period of performance. These requests are referred to as “post-award revisions.”

Department research administrators should route post-award revisions to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) Federal Contract Services Team in MyFunding as a Modification Request and include the following information:

  • Sponsor's request for proposal instructions
  • Technical proposal (if requested by the sponsor)
  • Business proposal (revised budget -- if requested by the sponsor)
  • Any additional documents requested by the sponsor
