What should I do if I started to draft my federal Funding Proposal before the IP Assignment question changed in MyFunding?

Per the announcement on August 1, 2018 regarding changes to the IP Assignment requirements for federally sponsored research, the Office of Sponsored Programs has changed its related question in MyFunding

The revised question, “For federally sponsored research (federal grants or federal contracts), have all individuals at the University of Pittsburgh named on this application signed an IP Assignment Agreement other than Option 3? Option 3 is no longer permitted”, appears in Funding Proposal drafts (in the Compliance Review section) created in MyFunding after July 30, 2018.  The previous version of the question will remain in Funding Proposal drafts created on or before July 30, 2018.

Before you route the Funding Proposal to the Office of Sponsored Programs for review and submission:

  1. Check to see if you have answered the revised question.
  2. If you have not answered the revised question, please copy and paste the above revised question into the Submission Dates section “5.0 Additional Deadline Details or Instruction for the Office of Sponsored Programs”
  3. State whether the answer to the revised question is Yes or No.
