Since the Federal Government’s fiscal year is October 1 through September 30, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) receives a high volume of urgent requests related to federal contracts and Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) during August and September of each year. These urgencies are to ensure that agreements are executed, and actions are finalized before October 1.
Pitt investigators and administrators are strongly encouraged to alert the OSP Federal Contract Services Team with as much advance notice as possible of any upcoming requests with time sensitive deadlines. This will allow OSP adequate time to review and process the requested action by the stated deadline.
