How do incoming faculty complete a COI disclosure before their start date?

These incoming faculty members still need to adhere to the University’s Conflict of Interest (COI) policy and submit an annual COI disclosure prior to proposal submissions. 

The following steps can be followed for incoming faculty to submit their COI disclosure ahead of their start date:

  1. A departmental administrator can assist the incoming faculty member with obtaining a Pitt Sponsored Account to use for MyDisclosures login.

  2. The administrator completes the COI Qualtrics form titled, “Add or Remove a Mandatory Discloser”, and includes the language: “Person added due to a grant,” which will alert the MyDisclosures IT team of the time sensitivity.
