New Process for Requesting Outgoing Subawards

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) will begin transitioning away from utilizing the Contraxx Subaward System to using our existing MyRA System for requesting and processing outgoing subawards. The many advantages of moving the outgoing subaward process to MyRA include increased transparency and more intuitive functionality for users. The upgrades and enhancements made to MyRA over the years have positively resulted in the ability to process outgoing subaward requests.

The Contraxx to MyRA transition will occur in two phases. Phase 1 will be for requesting and processing new subawards, and Phase 2 will be for requesting and issuing subaward amendments from subawards that were originally processed in Contraxx.

Beginning on Monday, October 9, 2023, new subaward requests must be submitted and processed in MyRA. Please plan to submit any in-process requests in Contraxx by no later than Friday, October 6.

Requests to amend active subawards will continue to be received and processed in Contraxx until Phase 2 of the system transition occurs at a later date.

Training materials are being finalized and will be shared prior to the October 9 rollout. In addition, a training demo on the new subaward process will be offered at the following times:
