What is CoRA?

The University of Pittsburgh Committee of Research Administrators (CoRA) is a committee of certified research administrators. CoRA facilitates the recertification process for Pitt and UPMC research administrators who have obtained certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) to become a Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Certified Pre-Award Administrator (CPRA), and/or Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA), by identifying and promoting educational workshops, training seminars and tools for tracking contact hours.

CoRA objectives and benefits include

  • inform current CRAs of internal and external seminars, webinars, and training opportunities that can potentially count for CRA recertification contact hours,
  • organize and facilitate contact hour opportunities,
  • offer mentorship to newly certified CRAs, and
  • provide a forum for discussing and facilitating other professional development opportunities for research administrators.

If you or your colleagues have a CRA, CFRA, or CPRA and would like to be included in CoRA communications and events, please email CoRA@pitt.edu.

If you are interested in learning about becoming a Certified Research Administrator, CoRA is hosting a panel discussion on March 10, 2022.
