Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) are formal research and development agreements between a Federal agency and one or more non-Federal parties to perform collaborative research and development in any area that is consistent with the Federal agency’s mission. The purpose of a CRADA is to make Government facilities, intellectual property, and expertise available for collaborative interactions. CRADAs are also intended to further the development of scientific and technological knowledge into useful, marketable products.
In the Office of Sponsored Programs, CRADAs are typically non-financial in nature and processed in MyRA as a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) or a Data Use Agreement (DUA) by the Clinical and Corporate Contracts Team. Please contact your Clinical and Corporate Contracts Officer for any questions regarding specific CRADAs.
